Rare photos of royal family unveiled

Three original photos bearing the royal emblem of the Greater Korean Empire (1897-1910) and a foldable "Taegeukki" used during the 1919 Independence Movement have gone on public display.
On display at Star City Theater in Daehangno, Seoul, are three original photos of the short-lived empire's royal family. The empire was annexed by Japan in 1910, 13 years after Emperor Gojong founded it.
