Actress Yoon Jung-hee, the heroine of “Poetry,” may have missed out on the much coveted bets actress award at this year’s Cannes International Film Festival, but the veteran’s return to the big screen has rejuvenated her passion for acting.

Despite the film’s only honor going to writer-director Lee Chang-dong for his work on the screenplay, Yoon said she was content with the response and praise she had been showered with at the world’s most glamorous and prestigious film festival.

'Ha Ha Ha' wins sidebar prize at Cannes

Korean film "Poetry" won the best screen play prize at the Cannes film festival on Sunday, news reports said.

 

The film, directed by Lee Chang-dong, tells a story of an old lady who finds happiness in learning of poetry for the first time in her life while a harsh reality forces her to suffer guilt and fear, Yonhap News said.
