교보-삼성, e-book 리더기 출시

 

Kyobo, Samsung launch e-book reader

Korea's biggest bookstore Kyobo Book Center and Samsung Electronics Co. have joined forces to kick-start the fledgling e-book market by jointly launching a new e-book reader amid renewed interest in the digital book market in recent months.

 

Kyobo began to promote Samsung's new e-book reader, the SNE-60K, by installing a separate booth at its 16 offline chains where customers can browse and test its key functions such as e-ink display, newspaper reading and touch screen.

삼성, 렌즈 교환식 전략 카메라 ‘NX10‘ 발표

 

Samsung betting on mirrorless cameras

Samsung Electronics said yesterday it aims to capture 50 percent of the global market for mirrorless digital cameras with interchangeable lenses this year. Its rivals in the market include Olympus and Panasonic. The Korean company said it will launch interchangeable lens NX 10 cameras in Korea this month and in North America and Western Europe in early March, betting on the growth of the nascent market segment.

 

But it remains to be seen whether runner-ups will be able to jumpstart the market, which is neglected by top-tier firms such as Canon and Nikon, market watchers said.

e-book을 향한 한국의 도전

 

 

 

 

Korea's e-book market has long been dormant(휴면상태). Even though there have been a handful of attempts to kick-start the potentially huge market in the past few years, the parties involved - writers, readers and publishers - did not pay much attention.
