'Kkeobeongi' creator Gil Chang-duk dies |

Gil Chang-duk, the veteran Korean cartoonist who created such classics as "Kkeobeongi," died on Saturday aged 81.
Born in 1930 in Seoncheon, North Pyeongan Province, Gil made his professional debut in 1955 with "Heoseobang." He pioneered a fresh genre of cheerful cartoons during the 1960s and 1970s, considered the golden age for children's cartoon magazines here. |
