Get ready for Lotus Lantern Festival

The annual “Yeon Deung Hoe,” or Lotus Lantern Festival, will kick off its three-day run on May 14 in Seoul to celebrate Buddha’s birthday, which falls on May 21 this year.

It is the biggest Buddhist event in Korea, which started in the Goryeo Dynasty and was turned into a national event 15 years ago.
