Top chef-owner Daniel Boulud catapulted the American classic to new heights when he filled it with black truffle and red wine braised short ribs. Le Burger Brasserie at Paris Las Vegas made headlines with its $777 Kobe Beef and Maine Lobster Burger. Red Robin Gourmet Burgers, a restaurant chain, took the trend across America and into Canada, cementing a new era for the beef patty.
