A sweaty Indonesian miner takes another heavy step towards the nearby crater, carrying a 100 kg chunk of sulfur on his shoulder.

 

Surrounding him is a fog so acidic, it can make you cough up blood in less than one hour. The only thing that protects him from the deadly environment is a piece of cloth that he keeps stuffing into his mouth.

 

British artist Darren Almond followed this miner around in Java, Indonesia, and captured him in a 35-minute-long film.

Rare photos of royal family unveiled

Three original photos bearing the royal emblem of the Greater Korean Empire (1897-1910) and a foldable "Taegeukki" used during the 1919 Independence Movement have gone on public display.

 

On display at Star City Theater in Daehangno, Seoul, are three original photos of the short-lived empire's royal family. The empire was annexed by Japan in 1910, 13 years after Emperor Gojong founded it.

With the Winter Olympics over, a new set of spring shows are on the way.

 

KBS kicks off tonight with its Monday and Tuesday night series "The Birth of the Rich." MBC follows it up with the weekend action blockbuster, "The Man They Called God." Mnet's hit reality show "SuperstarK" is returning for a second season by opening up the phone lines and internet UCC tomorrow for the first round of hopefuls.
