N.K. seeks rice, fertilizer aid from Seoul

North Korea demanded South Korea provide half a million tons of rice and 300,000 tons of fertilizer aid in exchange for regularizing reunion events for separated families at the inter-Korean Red Cross talks Wednesday.
“The North requested 500,000 tons of rice and 300,000 tons of fertilizer aid,” said a South Korean official involved in the talks.
