American sculptor’s artworks brighten monotonous apartments

If you think great artworks only exist within the lofty walls of galleries and museums, take a look around your own neighborhood.
It is no longer difficult to find interesting paintings and sculptures installed among apartment blocks in Korea, because a 1984 law obligates buildings that take up over 100,000 square meters to allocate up to 0.7 percent of the building cost to installing art. More than 10,680 artworks worth approximately 546 billion won ($483 million) were installed from 1995 to 2008.
