YEONGAM, South Jeolla Province -- Governor of South Jeolla Province and member of the F1 organizing committee Park Joon-yung said Thursday it was “an honor to promote Korea to all motor sports fans around the world through hosting the F1 Korea GP” in Yeongam.

 

“Alongside the 1988 Seoul Olympics and the 2002 World Cup, Korea has now been honored with hosting one of the biggest sporting events in the world,” Park said.
