Chung slams China’s hint at 2026 World Cup bid

FIFA Vice President Chung Mong-joon spoke out Wednesday in response to Chinese Football Association‘s recent hint that China intends to host the 2026 World Cup, calling it “unfair play.”

Chinese Football Federation general secretary Wei Di was quoted recently as saying that if a non-Asian country won the right to host the 2022 World Cup, “China would like to have a chance to host the 2026 World Cup.”
