The prosecution is delving deeper into C& Group’s alleged slush fund and illegal lobbying activities, in a probe closely watched for its possible fallout on the political circles because the conglomerate grew rapidly under the 1998-2008 liberal administrations.

 

Investigators at the Supreme Prosecutors’ Office, who arrested C& Group chairman Lim Byung-seok last week, plan to question a former group executive surnamed Lee who is suspected to have played a key role in supporting Lim’s bribery network.
