Hyundai Motor Co.’s mid-sized sedan Sonata made it into the list of the United States’ top 10 bestselling vehicles for the first time.

According to the U.S. publication Forbes, the Sonata was the 10th bestselling model in the U.S. for the first 10 months of the year. Industry data showed that 166,628 units of the Sonata were sold during the period. For 2009, the Sonata remained outside the top 20 with just over 120,000 units sold over the full year.
