Lee, Obama to settle FTA by next week

President Lee Myung-bak and U.S. President Barack Obama agreed on the telephone Tuesday to make efforts to conclude talks on the bilateral free trade pact before the G20 summit in Seoul next week, Lee’s spokesperson Kim Hee-jung said.
The two leaders renewed their commitment to reach an accord before the global economic forum, sharing the view that the KORUS FTA must be ratified to promote free trade across the world and to upgrade the two countries’ alliance to a new level, Kim said.
