Countries advertise tourism and upcoming events through full-page advertisements in newspapers. But normally, do they ever advertise against a misconstrued historical fact in a full page daily?
When the full-page ad with the title, “Dokdo is Korean Territory,” hit the Wall Street Journal in 2007, many naturally thought the Korean government was behind the move. Though, unexpectedly, it turned out to be one ordinary Korean man who had placed the ad at his own expense expecting nothing in return.
