Businesses face stern tax inspection

The nation’s tax authority Tuesday unveiled its policy for next year centering on a reinforced crackdown of tax evasion by large businesses and their owners.
In its report to President Lee Myung-bak for the 2011 policies, the National Tax Service said it would carry out wide-ranging corporate tax probes which involve individuals holding a controlling stake in companies suspected of dodging taxes.
