Artist explores ‘space’ on canvas

Around 35 gouache paintings that are full of color but empty in form are on display at Yoo Ju-hee’s solo exhibition which kicks off today at Gallery Dooin in Yeoksam-dong, southern Seoul.

This is the artist’s first exhibition in Korea. Yoo graduated from Seoul National University’s College of Fine Arts and continued her studies at Freie Akademie fur Malerei in Dusseldorf, Germany. She now lives and works in both Seoul and Dusseldorf.
